Grilled Radicchio Salad with Pickled Pink Lady Apple and Charred Grapes

- 1 head of radicchio
- 2 pink lady apples
- 1 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup seedless red grapes
- 6 fresh figs
- 1/2 cup smoked almonds
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste

Slice the radicchio into wedges, leaving the core intact.

Cut one of the pink lady apples in half, remove the core, and thinly slice it. Set aside.
