ingredients
- 1 lb ground pork
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch piece ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons chili oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
steps
- 1.
In a bowl, combine ground pork, minced garlic, grated ginger, green onions, soy sauce, chili oil, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- 2.
In another bowl, prepare the dough for the dumpling wrappers by combining all-purpose flour and water. Knead until a smooth dough forms. Divide into small balls and roll them out into thin circular wrappers.
- 3.
Place a teaspoon of the pork mixture into the center of each wrapper, fold and pleat the edges to seal the dumplings. Repeat until all the pork mixture has been used.
- 4.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the dumplings and cook for 10-12 minutes until they float to the surface. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
- 5.
In a separate pot, combine chicken broth, rice vinegar, Sriracha sauce, and a pinch of salt. Bring to a simmer.
- 6.
Drop the cooked dumplings into the simmering broth and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- 7.
Ladle the soup with pork dumplings into bowls, garnish with chopped cilantro, and serve piping hot.
