- 4 lbs fresh cherries, pitted and crushed
- 3 lbs raw honey
- 1 gallon water
- 1 tsp yeast nutrient
- 1 packet champagne yeast (or your preferred mead yeast)
- 1/2 tsp potassium metabisulfite (for sanitation)
- Optional: 1 tsp vanilla extract for added depth

In a large pot, heat 1 gallon of water until warm but not boiling.
