Spicy Lime Chicken Legs

Spicy Lime Chicken Legs
ingredients
- 8 chicken legs
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 3 limes, juiced and zested
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
steps
- 1.
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2.
In a bowl, combine the cayenne pepper, lime juice and zest, olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- 3.
Pat the chicken legs dry with a paper towel and place them in a large zip-lock bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken, seal the bag, and massage the marinade into the chicken legs. Allow them to marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
- 4.
Place the marinated chicken legs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each piece. Drizzle any remaining marinade over the chicken.
- 5.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the chicken legs are cooked through and golden brown, with an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- 6.
Remove from the oven and let the chicken legs rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.
