Decadent Chocolate Cake

Decadent, moist, and rich chocolate cake made with cocoa powder and buttermilk, layered with creamy chocolate ganache. Perfect for any celebration!
ingredients
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 cups of granulated sugar
- ¾ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup of buttermilk
- ½ cup of vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup of boiling waterFor the chocolate ganache:
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 12 oz of semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract and mix until fully combined.

Gradually stir in boiling water until the batter is smooth.

Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
