- 9 lbs Pale Malt (2-row)
- 1 lb Crystal Malt (40L)
- 0.5 lb Munich Malt
- 0.5 lb Carapils (Dextrin Malt)
- 1 oz Northern Brewer Hops (bittering; 60 min)
- 1 oz Cascade Hops (flavor; 15 min)
- 1 oz Cascade Hops (aroma; 5 min)
- 1 pkg Lager Yeast (e.g., Wyeast 2124 or Saflager 34/70)
- 5 oz Priming Sugar (for bottling)
- Water (to make 5 gallons)

Start by heating approximately 3 gallons of water to around 165°F for mashing.

Add crushed grains to the mash tun, maintaining a temperature of 152°F for 60 minutes.
- 3.
Sparge with around 4 gallons of heated water (170°F) to collect wort in the boil kettle.

Bring wort to a boil and add Northern Brewer hops; boil for 60 minutes.
- 5.
After 45 minutes, add Cascade hops for flavor.
- 6.
With 5 minutes left to boil, add the remaining Cascade hops for aroma.
- 7.
Chill the wort quickly to fermentation temperature (around 50°F for lagers).

Transfer to a sanitized fermenter and pitch the yeast.
- 9.
Ferment for 2-3 weeks or until fermentation is complete.
- 10.
Once fermentation is done, prepare to bottle by boiling priming sugar in a cup of water.
- 11.
Add the sugar solution to your bottles and fill them with beer, then cap.

Allow bottles to carbonate for another 2 weeks at room temperature before chilling and enjoying!
