- 1 medium onion, finely chopped (about 150g)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 240ml chicken broth
- 120ml heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (5ml)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Spice Blend:
- 1 teaspoon paprika (2.3g)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (2.3g)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder (2.3g)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (1g)
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (1g)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (1g)
steps
- 1.
In a small bowl, mix together all spice blend ingredients.
- 2.
Rub the spice blend on both sides of the pork chops, ensuring even coating.
- 3.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- 4.
Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned but not fully cooked.
- 5.
Remove chops from the skillet and set aside.
- 6.
In the same skillet, add onion and garlic; cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- 7.
Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- 8.
Stir in the heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce, then bring to a simmer.
- 9.
Return the pork chops to the skillet, reduce heat to low, and cover. Cook for another 10-15 minutes or until pork is cooked through (internal temp of 63°C).
- 10.
Serve the pork chops smothered in the creamy gravy and garnish with fresh parsley.
