Hearty Indoor Beef Lasagne
ingredients
- 12 lasagne noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook lasagne noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat.

Stir in marinara sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper; simmer for 5 minutes.

In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the Parmesan cheese; mix well.

Spread a thin layer of beef mixture on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Layer 4 noodles over the beef mixture, then half of the ricotta mixture, followed by a third of the mozzarella.

Repeat layering with remaining beef, noodles, ricotta, and mozzarella, ending with noodles topped with remaining marinara and cheeses.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- 10.
Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.

Let lasagne cool for 10 minutes before slicing; garnish with fresh basil.
