Bearded Tree Bock Beer

- 10 lbs Munich malt
- 2 lbs Crystal malt (60L)
- 1 lb Crystal malt (120L)
- 0.5 lb Chocolate malt
- 1 lb CaraPils malt
- 1 oz Hallertau hops (bittering, 60 min)
- 0.5 oz Tettnang hops (flavor, 15 min)
- 0.5 oz Saaz hops (aroma, 5 min)
- 1 packet lager yeast (such as Wyeast 2124 or Saflager W-34/70)
- 5 oz priming sugar (for bottling)
- Water (5 gallons, filtered)

Heat 3 gallons of water to 165°F and add the crushed grains in a grain bag for mashing.

Maintain the mash temperature around 154°F for 60 minutes, then remove the grains and rinse with hot water.

Bring the combined wort to a boil, then add 1 oz Hallertau hops.
- 4.
Boil for 45 minutes, then add 0.5 oz Tettnang hops and continue to boil for 15 minutes.

Add 0.5 oz Saaz hops for the last 5 minutes.

Chill the wort to 50°F and transfer it to a sanitized fermenter.

Pitch the lager yeast and seal with an airlock. Ferment at 50°F for 2-3 weeks.

After fermentation, siphon beer into a bottling bucket with priming sugar dissolved in 1 cup of water.

Bottle the beer and let it carbonate at room temperature for 2 weeks.
