- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- Green, brown, and red fondant for decorations
- Edible markers for Steve and creeper features
- 4 large cupcakes (for TNT)
- 1 cup butter, softened (for frosting)
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- ¼ cup milk (for frosting)
- Food coloring (green, brown, and red)

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla and beat on medium for 2 minutes.

Stir in boiling water until well combined; batter will be thin.

Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes. Cool completely.

Prepare frosting by beating butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar and milk. Adjust thickness with more sugar or milk if needed.

Layer the cakes with frosting in between. Frost the top and sides of the cake.

Roll out fondant to create Minecraft characters and TNT sticks. Use edible markers to add details.

Place the cupcakes upturned on top of the cake, and frost them in red for TNT.
