ingredients
- 10 pounds country-style ribs
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons sweet paprika
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup water
steps
- 1.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- 2.
In a bowl, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, sweet paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- 3.
Cut the ribs into individual portions, ensuring ample meat on each piece. Season generously with salt and black pepper.
- 4.
Place the ribs on the grill, bone-side down, and cook for 15 minutes, turning occasionally, until nicely browned.
- 5.
Transfer the browned ribs to a large baking dish. Pour the sauce over the ribs, making sure to coat them generously. Add water to the dish.
- 6.
Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and place it back on the grill. Reduce the temperature to low and cook for 2.5 to 3 hours until the meat is tender and begins to pull away from the bones.
- 7.
Carefully remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Cut the ribs into individual portions and serve with the remaining sauce.
