Fiery Pulled Pork and Beef Chili Recipe
ingredients
- 30 oz pork shoulder, cooked and shredded
- 16 oz ground beef
- 3 large onions, diced
- 18 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 flame-roasted Poblano peppers, peeled, seeded, and chopped
- 4 jalapenos, seeded and finely chopped
- 16 tomatillos, husks removed and diced
- 4 cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes
- 4 cans (4 oz each) diced green chilies
- 4 cans (15 oz each) white beans, drained and rinsed
- 4 cans (15 oz each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 4 cups beef broth
- 4 teaspoons ground cumin
- 4 teaspoons dried oregano
- 4 teaspoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Heat vegetable oil in an 8-quart pot over medium heat. Add onions, minced garlic, flame-roasted Poblano peppers, and jalapenos. Sauté until onions are translucent.

Add ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in shredded pork, diced tomatoes, green chilies, white beans, kidney beans, tomatillos, beef broth, cumin, oregano, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Serve the fiery pulled pork and beef chili hot, garnished with freshly chopped cilantro.
