ingredients
- 1 lb boneless meat (chicken breast, salmon, or lean steak)
- ½ cup tamari sauce
- ¼ cup lime juice
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
steps
- 1.
Cut the meat into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
- 2.
In a bowl, whisk tamari sauce, lime juice, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, ground ginger, paprika, and chili flakes (if using).
- 3.
Place the meat in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and toss to coat the meat evenly. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- 4.
Preheat the grill or broiler. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- 5.
Thread the marinated meat onto skewers.
- 6.
Grill or broil the skewers for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
- 7.
Remove from heat and let them rest for a minute. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
