- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 2 tablespoons lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons orange zest
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon citric acid
- 1/4 teaspoon orange extract
- 1/4 teaspoon lemon extract
- Powdered sugar, for dusting

In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, lemon juice, and orange juice over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Add lemon zest, orange zest, corn syrup, citric acid, orange extract, and lemon extract to the saucepan. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer.
