Indulgent French toast casserole with raisins, almonds, and vanilla.
ingredients
- 1 loaf of French bread, cubed
- 1 cup of raisins
- 1 cup of sliced almonds
- 6 eggs
- 2 cups of milk
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp of salt

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a large bowl, mix eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.

Add bread cubes, raisins, and half of the almonds to the mixture. Stir gently.

Pour the mixture into a greased Cast Iron Dual Handled Skillet.

Top with remaining almonds.

Bake for 45-50 minutes, until golden brown.
