- 1 gallon (3.8 L) of filtered water
- 2 lbs (0.9 kg) of diced apples (preferably Honeycrisp or Fuji)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 0.5 tsp nutmeg
- 0.5 tsp allspice
- 1 vanilla bean (split)
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 packet of Lalvin 71B-1122 yeast
- 1 tsp yeast nutrient
- 1 tsp yeast energizer
