ingredients
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup carom seeds
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios)
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- Saffron strands for garnish
steps

Rinse rice and soak in water for 30 minutes.

In a large pot, bring milk to a boil.

Drain rice and add to the milk. Cook until rice is soft.
