Browned Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375°F.

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, stirring constantly until browned. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

In a mixing bowl, cream together brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until combined.

Fold in chocolate chips.

Drop tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden brown.

Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
