ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buffalo sauce
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh celery sticks (for garnish)
- Carrot sticks (for garnish)
- Ranch dressing (optional, for serving)
steps
- 1.
Preheat your sous vide water bath to 145°F (63°C).
- 2.
In a bowl, mix the buffalo sauce, melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- 3.
Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag and pour the buffalo sauce mixture over them.
- 4.
Remove as much air as possible from the bag using the water displacement method or a vacuum sealer.
- 5.
Submerge the bag in the sous vide water bath and cook for 1.5 to 2 hours.
- 6.
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the bag and reserve the sauce.
- 7.
For additional flavor, you can quickly sear the chicken in a hot skillet for 1-2 minutes on each side.
- 8.
Shred the chicken or serve whole. Drizzle with reserved buffalo sauce, and garnish with celery and carrot sticks, if desired.
- 9.
Optionally, serve with ranch dressing on the side for dipping.
