Caramelized Banana Oatmeal Extravaganza

- 2.5 cups rolled oats
- 5 cups water
- 5 ripe bananas, sliced
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 5 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1.25 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1.25 cups chopped toasted pecans
- 10 tablespoons pure maple syrup
