Cheesy Beefy Ziti

- 1 pound ziti pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Preheat the oven to 375°F.

Cook ziti in salted boiling water according package instructions. Drain and reserve.

In a skillet, heat the olive oil, add the beef and cook until browned. Then add the onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the crushed tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes.
