Classic American Burger, Fries, and Soda

- 4 large potatoes, cut into fries
- Vegetable oil, for frying

- 4 cups carbonated soda (e.g., cola, root beer)

Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and shape them into patties. Season with salt and pepper.
