Creamy Mushroom and Spinach Pasta

- 14 oz (400g) pasta of choice
- 8 oz (225g) button mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups fresh spinach leaves
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
