Indulgent Tres Leches cake topped with glazed strawberries.
ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 5 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 to 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups fresh strawberries

Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla.
- 4.
Fold in dry ingredients and bake for 30 minutes.
- 5.
Poke holes in cake, pour milk mixture. Chill.
- 6.
Whip cream and sugar until stiff peaks form.
- 7.
Heat strawberries with sugar until glazed. Cool.
- 8.
Spread whipped cream on cake, top with strawberries.
- 9.
NOTE: Repeat these steps if making a two-layer cake. Spread whipping cream and sliced glazed strawberries in the center of the layers.
