- 6.5 gallons tap water

Heat 3 gallons of water to 152°F and add crushed malts. Steep for 60 minutes.
- 2.
Sparge with 3 gallons of water at 170°F, collecting wort in a kettle.
- 3.
Bring wort to a boil, add hops, and boil for 60 minutes.
- 4.
Cool wort, transfer to fermenter, and pitch yeast.
- 5.
Ferment for 2 weeks, then bottle or keg and carbonate.
