ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon dried Italian herbs
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 8 ounces pasta of your choice
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
steps
- 1.
Season the chicken breasts on both sides with dried Italian herbs, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- 2.
Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken breasts for about 6-8 minutes per side or until cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- 3.
In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Sauté the sliced onions for 5 minutes until they soften and become translucent.
- 4.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 5.
Add minced garlic to the skillet with onions and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- 6.
Slice the cooked chicken breasts into thin strips and return them to the skillet. Stir everything together and cook for 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 7.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss well to coat the pasta with the garlic herb sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until heated through.
- 8.
Serve the chicken pasta hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
