Tender beef slow-cooked in red wine, rich broth, and hearty vegetables for a comforting and flavorful stew.
ingredients
- 2 lbs beef chuck, cubed
- 1 cup red wine
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 3 celery stalks, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 bay leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp flour

In a Dutch oven, heat olive oil and brown beef.

Add onion, garlic, carrots, and celery, sauté until fragrant.

Stir in tomato paste and flour, cook for 2 minutes.

Pour in red wine and beef broth, add bay leaves, salt, and pepper.
