CAFE 1055 Cinnamon Rolls or Sticky Buns

Indulge in these warm, gooey cinnamon sticky buns that are perfect for breakfast or dessert. ingredients
- ROLLS: Bake at 350 for 20 minutes
- 1.5 Tbs. active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 cup buttermilk temped at 105 degrees
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup Crisco
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- 6-7 cups of flour
- FILLING
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 2 Tbs. of cinnamon
- TOPPING FOR STICKY BUNS
- 1 cup butter melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 3/4 to 2 cups of pecans

ROLLS: after prepared let rise 20 minutes before baking

Add buttermilk, and water, crisco, sugar, and salt, microwave for 45 seconds. temp out to 105 degrees

Add liquid to mixing bowl and sprinkle 1.5 TBS of yeast , let stand 5 minutes to activate yeast.

Add 1 cup of the flour and baking powder, mix well, then add additional flour 1 cup at a time up to 6 -7 cups total, dough should be somewhat sticky.

Roll out dough to a 12x24 inch rectangle add filling and cut to 1.5 inch circles.

FILLING:

1 cup of brown sugar,
- 8.
1 cup of white sugar
- 9.
1/2 cup butter softened
- 10.
2 Tbsp. of cinnamon
- 11.
1/4 cup of flour
- 12.
TOPPING FOR STICKY BUNS
- 13.
1 cup melted butter
- 14.
1 cup brown sugar
- 15.
1 3\4 to 2 cups of pecans
- 16.
MIX the above 3 ingredients together and spread into a 11x13 well greased pan. Place the cut dough on top of mixture and let rise 20 minutes

NOTE: after taking the stickies out of the oven let them sit for 3-4 minutes and then flip them out onto a cookie sheet.
