ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
- 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
steps
- 1.
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2.
In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, minced garlic, grated ginger, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, beaten egg, breadcrumbs, green onions, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- 3.
Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- 4.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned on the outside.
- 5.
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the cucumber salad. In a bowl, combine cucumber slices, rice vinegar, sugar, and soy sauce. Toss gently to coat and let marinate for 10 minutes.
- 6.
Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes.
- 7.
Serve the hoisin-sesame meatballs with the cucumber salad and garnish with fresh cilantro. Enjoy!
