A refreshing and sweet mead recipe made with Monarch's Choice Wildflower Honey. Perfect for enjoying on a warm summer day or cozying up by the fire in the winter.
ingredients
- 4 1/2 gallons of tap or bottled water
- 12 to 18 pounds of Monarch's Choice Wildflower Honey
- 8 grams (1/4 ounce) Lalvin ICV D-47 champagne or mead yeast
steps
- 1.
Heat 1 gallon of water in a large pot and dissolve the honey into it.
- 2.
Pour the honey mixture into a sanitized fermenting bucket and add the remaining water.
- 3.
Sprinkle the yeast on top and stir well.
- 4.
Cover with a lid and let it ferment for 2-3 weeks.
- 5.
Transfer to bottles and let it age for at least 6 months before enjoying.
