ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken

- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 3 green onions, finely chopped
- ½ cup carrots, finely chopped
- ½ cup celery, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon mushroom seasoning
- 1 package wonton wrappers (about 48)
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Soy sauce or sweet chili sauce for dipping
steps
- 1.
In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, garlic, ginger, green onions, carrots, celery, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, cornstarch, onion powder, and mushroom seasoning. Mix until well blended.
- 2.
Lay out a wonton wrapper on a clean surface and place about 1 teaspoon of the chicken filling in the center.
- 3.
Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half diagonally, and press to seal, creating a triangle shape.
- 4.
Twist the ends of the triangle towards each other to form a neat pouch, sealing them with a bit of water if necessary.
- 5.
Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- 6.
Fry the wontons in batches for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- 7.
Remove the cooked wontons with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 8.
Serve hot with soy sauce or sweet chili sauce for dipping.
