Warm Almond-Crusted Sweet Potato Bake
ingredients
- 3 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk cream (instead of heavy cream)
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat your oven to 375°F.

In a large mixing bowl, combine sweet potato slices, melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Toss well until evenly coated.

Layer the sweet potato mixture in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

Pour the milk cream evenly over the sweet potatoes.
- 5.
In a separate bowl, mix the sliced almonds with honey and vanilla extract until well combined.

Sprinkle the almond mixture over the sweet potatoes.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are tender and the almond topping is golden brown.
- 8.
Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
