ingredients
- 6 oz turkey breast, thinly sliced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 packets of turkey flavored instant ramen
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 shiitake mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- 2 soft-boiled eggs, halved
- 1 cup spinach leaves
- 1/2 cup bean sprouts
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Lime wedges, for serving
steps
- 1.
In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, half of the chopped green onions, and sliced shiitake mushrooms. Sauté for 2 minutes.
- 2.
Add the turkey slices and cook until they turn golden brown, approximately 3-4 minutes. Remove the turkey slices from the pot and set aside.
- 3.
In the same pot, pour in the chicken broth, soy sauce, smoked paprika, and chili flakes (if desired). Bring it to a boil and let it simmer for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 4.
Meanwhile, prepare the instant ramen according to package instructions, omitting seasoning packets. Drain and set aside.
- 5.
Divide the cooked ramen between two bowls. Pour the turkey-infused broth over the noodles.
- 6.
Arrange the cooked turkey slices, soft-boiled egg halves, spinach leaves, and bean sprouts on top.
- 7.
Garnish with chopped green onions, fresh cilantro, and sesame seeds.
- 8.
Serve the Smoky Turkey Ramen hot and enjoy the fusion of flavors with a squeeze of lime.
