A deliciously complex wheat beer with hints of coriander, orange peel, and honey malt sweetness.
ingredients
- 4 lbs Wheat malt
- 1 lb Honey malt
- 0.5 lb Munich malt
- 1 oz Coriander seeds
- 0.5 oz Orange peel
- 0.5 oz Hallertau hops
- 0.5 oz Saaz hops
- 1 pkg Belgian Wheat yeast
steps
- 1.
Heat 3 gallons of water to 165°F and steep malts for 30 minutes.
- 2.
Bring to a boil, add 0.5 oz Hallertau hops, and boil for 60 minutes.
- 3.
Add 1 oz coriander seeds and 0.5 oz orange peel in the last 5 minutes of the boil.
- 4.
Cool wort, transfer to fermenter, and pitch yeast.
- 5.
Ferment at 68°F for 2 weeks, then bottle and age for 2 weeks.
