This tangy, herbaceous soup is a comforting blend of ripe tomatoes, fresh basil, and a kick of red pepper flakes. Perfect for cool evenings or when you need a bit of heat to warm you up.
ingredients
- 2 lbs ripe tomatoes, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for sautéing
steps

In a large pot, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until translucent.

Add chopped tomatoes, vegetable broth, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 20 minutes.

Stir in fresh basil and season with salt and pepper.
