Celebrate summer with this refreshing ale infused with sweet strawberry flavors. Perfect for a sunny afternoon or BBQ with friends.
ingredients
- 4 lbs Pilsen LME
- 2 lbs strawberry puree
- 1 oz strawberry extract
- 1 oz Hallertau hops
- 1 pkg American Ale yeast
- 1 tsp Irish moss
- 5 oz corn sugar for priming

Heat 2.5 gallons of water to 160°F, remove from heat, add LME, stir until dissolved.

Bring to a boil, add Hallertau hops, boil for 60 min.
- 3.
Add strawberry puree, Irish moss, and strawberry extract, boil for 10 min.
- 4.
Remove from heat, cool wort, transfer to fermenter, top up to 5 gallons.
- 5.
Pitch yeast, ferment for 1-2 weeks.
- 6.
Bottle with corn sugar, let carbonate for 2 weeks.
- 7.
Chill and enjoy your strawberry ale!
