Sweet and Savory Honey Sesame Beef Shank

- 2 lbs beef shank
- 1/4 cup brown sugar honey
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seed oil
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon meat tenderizer

In a bowl, combine brown sugar honey, toasted sesame seed oil, Worcestershire sauce, almond extract, garlic powder, and meat tenderizer.

Place the beef shank in a ziplock bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and gently massage the marinade into the meat. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

Remove the beef shank from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.

Grill the beef shank for about 10-12 minutes per side, or until desired doneness is reached. For medium-rare, the internal temperature should be around 135°F (57°C).

Remove the beef from the grill and allow it to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Slice the beef shank against the grain into thin strips.
