A unique twist on Mexican cerveza using Tradition hops and brewer's corn syrup for a refreshing and flavorful brew with a hint of bitterness.
ingredients
- 3 lbs extra pale extract
- 3 lbs brewer's corn syrup
- 0.75 oz Tradition hops (bittering)
- 0.25 oz Tradition hops (aroma)
- Nottingham yeast
steps
- 1.
Bring 2.5 gallons of water to a boil.
- 2.
Remove from heat and stir in the pale extract and corn syrup until dissolved.
- 3.
Return to a boil and add bittering hops. Boil for 45 minutes.
- 4.
Add aroma hops for the last 15 minutes of the boil.
- 5.
Cool the wort and transfer to a fermenter. Pitch yeast.
- 6.
Ferment for 2 weeks, then bottle and carbonate for 2 weeks before enjoying.
