- 4 cups water
- 2 tablespoons loose black tea or 4 black tea bags
- 1 cup honey (preferably local)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns (crushed)
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (freshly grated if possible)
- 1 cup mead (or your choice of dry cider)
- Optional: Cinnamon sticks for garnish
