- 12 lasagna noodles
- 2 lbs 100% ground beef
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, sauté onions and garlic until soft; add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.

Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper; let simmer for 20 minutes.
