Bavarian Pretzel Burger Buns

- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp salt
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup baking soda
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Coarse sea salt, for topping
