ingredients
- 4 bratwurst sausages
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 12 oz lager beer
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices pretzel bread, toasted
- Chopped parsley for garnish

In a large pot, cook bratwurst over medium heat until browned, then remove and set aside.

Add butter to the pot and sauté onions and garlic until translucent.

Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.

Pour in beer, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Slice bratwurst and add back to the pot.

Simmer for 20 minutes, season with salt and pepper.
- 6.
Ladle soup into bowls, top with parsley, and serve with toasted pretzel bread. Pairs with Bearded Tree Zythos Braggot.
