Creamy Italian Pasta Medley with Gnocchi

"Linguini with Broccoli Rabe Ingredients 1. 1 lb linguini 2. 2 bunches broccoli rabe 3. 3 cloves garlic 4. 1/4 cup olive oil 5. Herbs: basil, oregano, salt and pepper to taste wherever needed 6. 4 tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated Clean broccoli rabe. Use flower up to tender stem. Cut off and soak in pot covered with water, salt. Let it come to a boil, about 5 minutes, drain, and set aside in colander. In a large frying pan on stove, add olive oil, chopped garlic, and herbs, then finally add broccoli rabe from colander; stir until thoroughly covered with olive oil, garlic, and herbs, then turn off. In a pot of boiling water drop linguini with one tbsp salt. Boil to desired firmness, about 10-12 minutes, following directions on box. When cooked, drain in colander and put in a large mixing bowl. Then, from the frying pan add broccoli rabe and work in the pasta with 2 forks until all pasta is covered; sprinkle with cheese. Serves 4. *Gnocchi, penne, and orecchiette work well here too."

Boil the gnocchi until tender, then drain.
