Cheesy Chicken Pasta Sauce

Creamy, cheesy, chicken and tomato sauce combined with pasta is the perfect comfort food. This easy one-pot pasta meal is perfect for nights when you want something easy but special.
ingredients
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 can crushed tomatoes (14 oz)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 oz pasta

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add chicken and cook about 5-7 minutes until browned. Remove from pan and set aside.

Add onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened, then add garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for another 30 seconds.

Add crushed tomatoes and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese, stirring to combine.

Add chicken back to the pan and let cook for 5-7 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.

Cook the pasta in a separate pot according to package instructions.
