A unique blend of corn sweetness and rye spice in a malty amber ale. Perfectly balanced and refreshing twist on a classic brew.
ingredients
- 5 lbs Rye Malt
- 2 lbs Flaked Corn
- 1 lb Crystal 60L Malt
- 1 oz Hallertau Hops
- 1 oz Cascade Hops
- 1 packet Ale Yeast
- 1 tsp Irish Moss
steps
- 1.
Mash rye malt, flaked corn, and crystal malt in 3 gallons of water at 150°F for 60 minutes
- 2.
Sparge with 170°F water, bring to a boil
- 3.
Boil with Hallertau hops for 60 minutes
- 4.
Add Cascade hops and Irish Moss for the last 15 minutes
- 5.
Cool wort, transfer and pitch yeast
- 6.
Ferment for 2 weeks, bottle and age for 2 more weeks
