Gourmet Brie Chicken Tacos

Gourmet Brie Chicken Tacos
ingredients
- 680 grams chicken thigh strips
- 1 white onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 10 grams paprika
- 5 grams cumin
- 5 grams chili powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 170 grams brie cheese, cut into thin slices
- 2 small tortillas
- Garlic sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 28 grams pecorino romano cheese, grated
steps
- 1.
Preheat the oven to 200°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2.
In a bowl, combine paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 3.
Season the chicken thigh strips with the spice mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
- 4.
Heat some oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken strips and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5 minutes per side. Set aside.
- 5.
In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed, and sauté the sliced onions until caramelized and golden brown. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- 6.
Take a small tortilla and place a few slices of brie cheese in the center. Add a spoonful of caramelized onions and garlic, then top with a portion of the crispy chicken strips. Fold the tortilla in half and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat the process for the remaining tortillas.
- 7.
Bake the tacos for about 5-7 minutes until the cheese melts and the tortillas become slightly crispy.
- 8.
Serve the tacos warm, drizzled with garlic sauce, and garnish with grated pecorino romano cheese.
