Crunchy Tofish Tempura

Dip slices of tofu coated in nori and rice flour batter. Deep fry until golden edges form and serve hot for a perfectly crispy appetizer.
ingredients
- ½ pack of firm tofu
- ½ cup of glutinous rice flour
- 1 sheet of nori seaweed
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- ½ tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of paprika
- 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar
- ½ cup of ice-cold water
- 1 liter of sunflower oil

Cut the tofu block into thin slices. Make sure they are dry by patting them with paper towels.

Using kitchen scissors, cut the nori sheet into thin strips and mix it with rice flour, baking powder, salt, and paprika.

In a separate bowl, combine the apple cider vinegar and ice-cold water.
- 4.
Pour the wet mixture into the flour, slowly stirring it until well combined.
- 5.
Heat up medium-sized pan filled with sunflower oil to 180°C.
- 6.
Dip the tofu slices in the batter, making sure they are fully coated, then carefully drop them into the oil.
- 7.
Fry each side for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
- 8.
Scoop up the slices of tofu and place them on paper towels to cool.
