- 2 lbs ground beef or turkey
- 4 large russet potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef or chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and garlic, sautéing until softened (about 3-4 minutes).

Add ground meat to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned and cooked through, seasoning with thyme, salt, and pepper.

Stir in the broth, simmering for an additional 5 minutes to blend flavors.

In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, layer half of the potato slices at the bottom. Spoon half of the meat mixture over the potatoes.
