A luscious and flavorful braggot recipe with American Crystal and Chocolate malts, Australian malt extract, local honey, Kent Goldings hops, and Danstar Nottingham Ale Yeast for a harmonious blend.
ingredients
- 2 oz American Crystal 40 L
- 2 oz American Chocolate Malt
- 24 oz amber dry malt extract (Coopers, Australian)
- 3.5 lb honey (All-flower local)
- 1 oz Kent Goldings hops (5.9% AA)
- Danstar Nottingham Ale Yeast

- 1.
Steep grains in 1.5 gallons of water at 150°F for 30 minutes, then remove grains and add malt extract and honey.
- 2.
Bring to a boil and add hops.
- 3.
Boil for 60 minutes, then cool and transfer to fermenter.
- 4.
Pitch yeast and ferment for 2 weeks.
- 5.
Bottle and let carbonate for at least 2 weeks before serving.
