- 3 1/2 lbs honey
- 1 large orange, cut into eight sections
- 25 raisins
- 1 stick of cinnamon
- 1 whole clove
- Optional: a small pinch of nutmeg and allspice
- 1 teaspoon Fleischmann's bread yeast
- Balance water to one gallon

In a large pot, combine honey, orange sections, raisins, cinnamon stick, clove, and optional spices.

Add enough water to make one gallon.

Heat mixture to 160°F, then remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.

Transfer to a fermentation vessel and sprinkle yeast on top.

Cover with a cloth and let ferment in a cool, dark place for 1-2 weeks.

Strain out solids and transfer liquid to a clean container.
